I am delighted to welcome you to the 8^th International Conference on Engineering, Project, and Production Management (EPPM2017). This conference is proudly hosted by Al Zaytoonah University of Jordan in conjunction with the Association of Engineering, Project, and Production Management (EPPM).

As President of Al Zaytoonah University of Jordan, I am pleased to host the EPPM2017 Conference which will provide a unique opportunity for researchers and educators to convene and share novel ideas on crucial issues and trends of engineering, project and production management development and explore the possibilities of future cooperation. I am grateful to all the renowned speakers and delegates for their participation that makes this conference possible.

Al Zaytoonah University of Jordan is one of the largest private universities in Jordan with around 8,000 students studying a variety of programs in engineering and technology, pharmacy, economics and administrative science, science and information technology, law, arts and nursing.

We are committed to providing an excellent student experience, enhancing employability and developing scholarship and citizenship. Our degrees are much more than just a passport to a career. They enrich and develop students with skills and lessons for life so that our graduates not only have an enviable employment record but also add real value to the economy and society at large, whether learning takes place in the classroom, laboratory or through fieldwork, the workplace or community.

It is worth mentioning that the University expenditure on scientific research has quadrupled over the past four years, about 60% of the expenditure was spent on applied scientific research that meets the local demand and society needs, especially in medications, cancer treatment, health care, information technology, project management, maintenance management and renewable energy with the rest of the funding and support distributed to cover national and international conferences and to support publications and research evaluations. Such funding and support resulted in remarkable increase in the published work in reputable scientific Journals.

Once again, many thanks to EPPM Association for promoting the quality and globalization of engineering, project, and production management research areas. I believe all delegates will benefit substantially from the conference through the presentations of expert speakers and exchanges of ideas with one another.
